| Purple agate is a rare find here on the coast. |
Congratulations to our new resident beach comber Darrel who last night shared his purple agate found here on the Oregon Coast at the Oregon Coast Agate Club meeting.
This is beach combing 101 for sharing trophies found along the Pacific Coastline. Agates, jasper, petrified wood, 15 - 20 million year old marine fossils, to zeolites and more as found on Oregon's scenic beaches! This is brought to you as a continuation of my pocket guides Agates of the Oregon Coast and/or Agates of the Pacific Coast.

| Here are the finished pieces made into pendants. |
This is a very rare find for here on the Oregon Coast. This fossil tooth was actually found here on the central Oregon coast a couple of years ago and I finally had a chance to get a photo of Craig's wonderful beach combing find. It weighs close to 5 pounds, and appears to be that of an adult complete sixth tooth (due to the size of it). Congratulations to Craig on this magnificent find.
